Mario's Humidor

Mario's Humidor is a cigar lifestyle app that helps you track your humidor conditions, log and rate cigars, keep a tasting journal, and connect with other enthusiasts. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Mario's Humidor is owned and operated by Mario's Humidor LLC, a California limited liability company. References to "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to Mario's Humidor LLC.

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo through Clerk, our authentication provider. You may also sign in via Google or Apple, in which case those providers share your basic profile with us.

Cigar and humidor data. Anything you add to the app — humidors, cigar collections, journal entries, tasting notes, ratings, and flavor notes — is stored in your account.

Sensor data. If you connect a Govee, SensorPush, or Mario's Sensor (custom device), we store temperature and humidity readings in your account. Govee and SensorPush credentials you enter are stored locally on your device and sent to our server only to fetch sensor readings on your behalf.

Photos. Photos you attach to cigars or journal entries are stored in your account.

Voice notes. If you use voice recording to add tasting notes, your audio is transcribed on-device using your browser's built-in speech recognition. We do not record or store audio.

Payment information. If you subscribe to Mario's Humidor Pro, payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store), depending on which app you subscribed through. We do not store your card number or payment details — these providers handle all payment data.

Usage data. We collect basic technical logs (errors, API calls) to keep the service running. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.

We use your information solely to provide and improve Mario's Humidor. Specifically:

• To store and sync your cigar collection and journal across devices
• To display live sensor readings from your connected devices
• To power AI features (Mario chat, band scanning, journal extraction) using your cigar data as context
• To process your Pro subscription
• To send you important account or service notifications (no marketing without your consent)

Mario's Humidor uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Clerk — authentication and user management
• Supabase — database and data storage
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI chat and journal processing
• Replicate — AI avatar image generation
• Apple App Store — payment processing for iOS subscriptions
• Google Play — payment processing for Android subscriptions
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
• Govee / SensorPush — sensor data (only if you choose to connect these)

Your data is stored on Supabase servers with row-level security — only you can access your own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not share, sell, or rent your personal information to third parties.

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@marioshumidor.com. You can also export your cigar and journal data from your Profile settings.

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Know. You may request a copy of the personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months, including the categories of data, the sources it came from, and how we use it.
• Right to Delete. You may request that we delete your personal information. We will honor this request subject to certain legal exceptions.
• Right to Opt Out of Sale. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. You do not need to opt out.
• Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@marioshumidor.com. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.

Mario's Humidor is intended for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
